We are who we are
Caribbean women are many things, including enigmatic. On the global stage we have contributed to every field of endeavour and inspired many causes and projects but the annals have only just begun to record our contributions. Except for those exceptional few who transcend political, social and culture boundaries, caribbean women are unknown even to themselves.
Call to actionHere we feature women and their experience, simply because they exist within this geographic and cultural space of the Caribbean. Post-colonial, multi-ethnic, vulnerable, transnational, magical, beautiful. Every woman of this region bears with her the complexity that comes with transgressive past, the potentiality of the present and the hope of an intersectional future. Let’s tell our stories and get to know ourselves.
